Every giving tree lives in a local business or community space, and every tag on it is a real gift request from a family in our area. Find a tree near you to pick up a tag and drop off your gift, or bring a tree to your business this season.

Before You Drop Off Your Gift

Keep it new and unwrapped. Our team checks every gift to make sure it matches the request.
Attach the tag. The tag's family number is how your gift gets to the right household.
Bring it back to the same location where you picked up the tag.
Drop off by the Deadline. Gifts need time to be sorted and delivered before the holidays.

Tags never show a family’s name, address or phone number. Each approved household gets a private family number instead, so the only thing you’ll see is what’s on their wish list. Gifts are delivered by StrongSteps in a way that keeps every family’s dignity and privacy first.

Where do I drop off a gift?

Bring it back to the same location where you picked up the tag, by the posted deadline. If something comes up, call us at (888) 604-5527 and we'll help you figure out the easiest option.

Should I wrap the gift?

Please don't. Gifts need to be new and unwrapped so our team can check them against the request.

What if I lose the tag?

Call us with the location where you picked it up and we'll help match your gift to the right family.

Can I drop off a gift without a tag?

Yes. General gifts are welcome at host locations during the campaign, or you can make a financial gift online.

Does it cost anything to host a tree?

No. StrongSteps provides the tree, tags and signage. All we ask is a visible spot and a safe place to hold gifts until pickup.

Will the families' names be shared with my business?

No. Tags only show a private family number and the gift request. No names, addresses or phone numbers are ever shared with hosts or donors.
