PARTNER WITH STRONGSTEPS

Stronger Communities Are Built Together.

No single organization can meet every need. StrongSteps Behavioral Health Foundation works with providers, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, schools, businesses, community organizations, and other partners throughout New York State to strengthen behavioral-health support and community connections. Whether your organization wants to establish a referral relationship, collaborate on a community initiative, provide education, support an event, share resources, or explore a new idea, we want to hear from you.

People Don't Live Inside One System.

Behavioral health is connected to nearly every part of life. Someone experiencing a mental-health challenge may also be navigating housing instability, food insecurity, financial hardship, transportation barriers, employment, education, healthcare, family responsibilities, benefits, recovery, social isolation and community-resource needs.

No single organization can address every challenge. StrongSteps believes stronger communities are created when organizations understand one another, share resources, establish clear referral pathways, and work together toward common goals.

The goal isn’t to duplicate what already exists. It’s to connect it.

Clear expectations build strong relationships

A StrongSteps team member will review your inquiry and determine the appropriate next step. We may contact you for additional information or to schedule a conversation.

Depending on the partnership, a formal agreement may be appropriate — a memorandum of understanding, referral agreement, partnership or sponsorship agreement, vendor agreement, data-sharing agreement, Business Associate Agreement when legally applicable, program agreement or other contract. StrongSteps reviews and approves formal agreements before an organization is represented as an official partner.

Partnership does not automatically authorize information sharing

Having a partnership with StrongSteps does not automatically allow either organization to share confidential information about individuals receiving services.

Any exchange of protected or confidential information must follow applicable privacy, confidentiality, authorization, program, contractual and legal requirements. Sensitive information should be exchanged only through appropriate approved processes.

Let's Build Something Together

Local Relationships. Statewide Mission.

StrongSteps serves communities throughout New York State, and we understand that every community is different. The needs of Binghamton may not be the same as Rochester. The needs of Rochester may not be the same as Buffalo. The needs of Buffalo may not be the same as Syracuse, Albany, the North Country, Hudson Valley, New York City, Long Island, or another community.

That's why StrongSteps believes statewide growth should begin with listening locally. We want to understand what your community needs, what resources already exist, where the gaps are, what is working, and what organizations could accomplish together.

Our goal is not to enter communities and duplicate good work that is already happening. Our goal is to connect, collaborate, and strengthen it. Tell us where you are and what you're seeing.
