Calling for Yourself, or for Someone Else

Looking for Help for Yourself?

Contact the StrongSteps office and tell us what type of support you are looking for. You do not need to know the name of a program before calling.

Staff may ask what kind of support would be helpful, where you live, how you would like to be contacted, whether you receive other services, and whether coverage or benefit information applies.

Helping Someone Else?

Family members, caregivers, friends, and other support people may contact StrongSteps for general information.

Privacy and consent requirements may affect what we can discuss or complete on another person's behalf. For another adult, we may need their permission first. For a minor, a parent, guardian, or legally authorized person may need to participate.

Do You Need Help Right Now?

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when I call?

A team member will ask a few general questions about what kind of support you're looking for and where you live, then explain which programs might fit and what the next step is.

Leave a message with your name, phone number and the best time to reach you. We'll call you back during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Yes. Family members, caregivers and friends can call for general information. Privacy rules may limit what we can discuss without the person's permission.

It depends on the program. Many services are covered by Medicaid, grants or contracts. We'll explain any cost before anything begins.

You don't need to share medical records, Social Security numbers, insurance numbers or banking information on a first call. If we need anything like that later, we'll explain how to share it safely.

We aim to return calls and messages within 1 to 2 business days. If it's urgent, please call rather than leaving a message.
