VOLUNTEER

Give Your Time. Share Your Strengths. Make an Impact.

You don’t have to work in behavioral health to make a difference in behavioral health. Volunteers help StrongSteps bring our mission beyond our offices and into communities across New York.

What's Happening at StrongSteps?

Some events raise awareness. Some raise funds. Some connect people with resources. Some celebrate the people making a difference.

Whether you want to attend, volunteer, sponsor, participate, or bring your organization along, there's a place for you.

Group & Corporate Volunteering

StrongSteps welcomes inquiries from groups interested in volunteering together, including businesses, schools, clubs, and families.

Businesses can engage employees through event teams, Holiday for Hope, Community Day of Hope, and skilled volunteering. We'll work with your group to identify opportunities based on size, location, and interests.

Clear Roles Protect Everyone.

Volunteering is different from employment or providing professional behavioral-health services.

Background checks, training, or other requirements may apply depending on the role.

Volunteers must protect any private or sensitive information they learn through their role.

Assignments involving children or young people may require additional supervision and permission.

Volunteers should never photograph or share information about clients or families without authorization.
